Musical Extravaganza is a huge success at Portland College

Students from Portland College Specialist School for Cognition and Learning have staged a musical extravaganza based on the theme of "Mamma Mia".
Students, parents, Sunderland 14-19 Partners and local employers were enthralled by an afternoon of amazing entertainment at the school.
Martin Warden from High-lights Theatre Company advised the staff production team on lighting and stage effects and CLC staff, Pete Wells and Neil Stephenson, worked with the students to produce chromakey videos, which were part of the performance. Vicki Kennedy from gentoo helped with the painting of the scenery and rehearsals.
Jennifer Chart, Headteacher, said "The students and staff have worked extremely hard and we are all very proud of them. Special thanks must go to Rowena Gilchrist and all the staff who supported her."
