Work Experience

The Tyne and Wear Work Experience website offers a great introduction to work experience -particularly if you are going into a workplace for the first time.

Work Experience is not necessarily about trying out your own career choice, but finding out about working life and work skills in general. It will help you to learn more about the world of work. That means understanding the workplace, working with other people, improving your skills and being able to communicate clearly with adults.

There is also an Online Student Diary. Using this you will be able to see details of your work experience placement, make online Diary entries and record skills. If you don't have a log-in name and password ask your form teacher / tutor or your school's work experience coordinator.
